Scrubbing Day

Do I have to?

Cleaning out the sin in our lives is not fun, but it's necessary and good. Just like my sweet dog, I sometimes put up resistance. Confronting my sin and acknowledging it isn't easy; it's a downright filthy job! I love David's psalm after he's confronted by the prophet Nathan regarding his adultery with Bathsheba:

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions and my sin is always before me. Psalm 51:1-3

However, our Father is faithful to forgive us when we turn from our sin. Be encouraged!

I'm Coming, Mom!

The sun played peek-a-boo today, so we got out and played, too.

I can just hear Bexar yelling, "I'm coming, Mom!"

After play time, we went on a 3-mile walk. Happy fur baby, happy mom.

Will I ever learn?

Last Thursday while I had Bex with me and we were out and about, I stopped into this cute little dog shop in Redmond. While browsing, and really just using it as an excuse to get Bex out and walk him around a bit, I found this neat little toy. He used to love his soft toys, so I thought it was perfect for him. It was soft, washable, squeakable, and floatable. Wow! AND the best part, it's rated a "9" on the "tuff" scale of 1-10.

As you can see in the following picture, after 10 minutes of playing, he had already ripped off part of the edging.After 2 days, he has conquered the "Tuffie."
Needless to say, I was disappointed, but maybe I'll learn the lesson this time... Soft toys + Bexar = Destruction and quick loss of money

Gorgeous Fall Day

I think you may have figured out that I just absolutely am head over heels for Fall! Here are some pictures on this beautiful day that God has given us.

I was standing at the mailbox and I always lay Bexar down and make him stay while I walk across the street and get the mail. This is him...watching me. I just love his position here - so cute. {You can click to enlarge picture.}

I took this on our way back from the mailbox, walking down the driveway. The leaves, although mostly on the ground now, are just beautiful!

Migraine mania

Well, today was no fun as I was down for the count with a migraine. My 2-day headache turned into a migraine last night and I was miserable all day. :( Woe is me. LOL Okay, now that I'm done with my pity party, I heard some fun news today. M & M are getting a puppy!!! They bought him last night and are going to pick him up tomorrow - a 9-week old black lab. I'm so excited for them. It's giving me some puppy fever...

Congrats to the Merritts on their newest addition to their family! Yay! This news brings back wonderful memories of our little boy when he was teenie-tiny. Here are some cute photos of Bex as a baby. :)

T-Bex

There are so many things that I love about Bexar and this is one of them...we call it "T-Bex." I don't remember how the name developed, but he is too cute! He usually does the T-Bex either in his sleep or if you start rubbing his tummy. :) Here, he was sacked out; he didn't even stir with the beeps of the camera!

Call it a miracle

We have finally dusted off the digital camcorder that we bought many many moons ago and have figured out how to take still shots and download them to the computer. I can't believe we've had this really nice camcorder for so long and haven't used it! We could have used it in Hawaii!!! Agh!


Anyway, I used it to finally get some items up on Craig's List. Our old printer is so old that nobody wants it for free!!! I can't even give this thing away. It even works and nobody wants it - so sad.
Bex was sad to see his daddy go this morning. Just look at the poor guy. Doesn't he just make you want to cry?! He's wondering when daddy will be back home...

Well, I'm off to the bathroom...and NO, I don't have to go - at least not right now!! I need to clean out the cabinets and get all of our stuff unpacked. Boy will that be nice! I also need to finish unpacking the office and get the guest bedroom ready for Beth Ann. Yay! She's coming on Saturday!! I can't wait. :) THEN, after everything else is done, I can focus on unpacking my craft stuff. What fun! I love finding a place for everything. For now, I'm off to clean. :)
